Volunteer
QSLB is wholly operated by volunteers and loads of them! If you are new to dressage and would like to learn more about it; if you want to get to know more people with the same passion for the sport; if you are a student looking for volunteer hours; if you would like to help out in any way, let us know. Some of the positions on the QSLB board include overseeing the membership data, taking care of the finances, making competition and clinic decisions, getting sponsors and prizes, taking notes at the meetings and the many other tasks that come up.
QSLB *always* needs show volunteers! The number of volunteers required to run a dressage show is staggering and QSLB runs eight days of competitions over the season! There is a scribe that writes down judge's scores and comments, a whipper-in keeping track of the horses in the warm-up, a scorer tabulating the scores and results, a show secretary keeping track of entries, fees, numbers, horse passports, runners taking score sheets from scribes to scorers, lunch preparers, parking attendants, show organizers overseeing the whole competition and scheduling the days, facility owners grooming rings and warm-ups - they are *all* volunteers.
